About us

Windy Van Maele and Tomas De Baene are the passionate couple behind Aparthotel Acacia and the adjacent Boutique Hotel Shamon in Eeklo. Since 2017, they have been running Boutique Hotel Shamon with passion and attention to detail, and are known for their warm hospitality and personal approach.

What began with the renovation of a beautiful Art Nouveau villa from 1910 has grown into a popular accommodation for both tourists and business travelers. In 2025, Windy and Tomas expanded with Aparthotel Acacia, a new hotel in a renovated 1930s mansion, perfectly suited to those seeking more independence and privacy.

Although the stay is completely contactless via a personal code, Windy and Tomas are always ready to help through Boutique Hotel Shamon – whether it is practical support or a delicious breakfast.

Their combination of a warm welcome, a sense of quality and a sustainable vision ensures that every guest immediately feels at home in the beautiful Meetjesland.
